We were honored to have Mexican Medical Vice-President and Missionary Craig Libby as a guest speaker, along with trip testimonials from local guests George and Jill Shamblin, the Godbehere family and the Key family. The evening provided a 360 degree look at the potential effectiveness of short-term missions. Craig Libby spoke to the topic from the missionary host perspective, while the Shamblins addressed the opportunity for leaders to use a short-term trip as an incredible tool for discipleship. The Godbehere and Key families shared their experience as participants, pointing to their time serving in a different context as a platform for discipling their children as well as gaining valuable perspective in living their own lives more intentionally for the sake of the gospel.
