The Best Spring Break
Reel Life International exists to work alongside the church to engage the people of God in the mission of God for the glory of God. Our vision is for God’s people to cultivate a deep passion for the gospel through participation in local discipleship and short-term missions. This week, we have two teams spending their spring breaks on short-term missions, serving in Ecuador and Dominican Republic. The following excerpts were received from the teams so far this week.
Our Ecuador Team arrived safely! They began their week by sorting meds in preparation for their clinic this week. They had 8 people accept Christ through the ministry of preaching and VBS while the clinic was held!
Our Ecuador Team of medical students continues to have an amazing week! During the clinic, they held a VBS and 4 children accepted Christ as their Savior! In addition, one police officer and one government worker came to know the Lord!
Our Dominican Republic Team continues to see God work in amazing ways this week! They did a VBS in Los Montones for 1st-5th graders at the local school then went door to door handing out solar lanterns spreading the gospel! One woman prayed to receive Christ!
Each of these update includes the most important thing that could ever happen. Each update includes what life is truly all about – people being saved by the power of God in the Name of Jesus. The mission of God is to redeem people from all nations who will believe in His Son to save them from their sins.
Perhaps no verse sums this up better than John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
I would submit that there is no better way to spend spring break than sharing the love of Jesus with people on a short-term mission trip. Of course, the same could be said of every single day, including today. Live your life on mission today. Share with someone today the love of Jesus and the promise of eternal life for all who trust in Him.
